How exciting!

Well I have to say I'm quite enjoying the blogs so far. If only they didn't keep deleting themselves before I get to publish them!

Well here goes again!

I am very excited to say that I have had some of my work published in the UK coloured pencil magazine. Twice!

As you are probably aware my drawing won the '10 items or less' competition. I had to draw the fruit using just 5 coloured pencils and a rubber. I really wanted to try this as when I was a student I taught myself to mix my own colours with paint and to this day I still paint with just red, black, white, yellow and blue.

So my challenge here was to create a drawing by blending the coloured pencils together rather than mixing paint. I laid down a base colour, so for the grapes it was blue and red, and then blended the colours using different values.

I was very pleased with the result and will be trying this again when I have some time. Thank you @ukcps for the challenge.

With the hot weather it had been a bit demanding working in the cabin as it gets very hot in here. Can't complain though really. Next time I will share more pics of my workplace.

Thanks for reading. 😊
